Alphabitty Moments

I'm so glad to be back into Alphabitty Moments! I have the perfect V this week! Go on over to Mama Bear's blog and see what she and other people are sharing with the letter V!

V is for Vegetables!

This is the harvest I returned home to after camp! My carrots look a bit dirty as they had not been washed yet, but wow! I was so excited! Snug helped me just today wash and get everything we will not be eating in the next few days ready to be frozen. We also gave out cucumbers and carrots to six neighbors. Lots more veggies are ripening in our garden as I type.

Baby J loves the fresh peas. Sorry he looks a bit...scary in this picture, but he has had a cold and ear infection for the past couple of weeks, so he is feeling pretty much how he looks.

Snug has eaten more veggies than some kids eat in a year in the past two days! His favorite are the cucumbers, followed by the peas, and he isn't a big fan of the carrots, but has been dutifully eating them anyway.

Alphabitty Moments

Well it is Thursday believe it or not. I sit typitty type typing at my computer while my exhausted boys sleep in (SHOCK) this morning. They are very tired because of today's post. No, not because I am posting today, they'd be tired all the time if my blogging was cause for exhaustion on their part. Nope, they are still sleeping because they went to bed at 11:00pm...but I'm on a tangent here.
Today's Alphabitty Moments, brought to you by Mama Bear over in the woods, is supposed to be the letter Q. However, I missed the letter P last week due to Snug being quite ill, yet perfectly fine. Besides, I can't think of a good Q for my boys. Quilt? No. Questions? Well, Snug is the only one who can ask them and if he says "why?" one more time I may knock his block off go insane. Quiet? Certainly not! So, while I mull that over for a bit, here is my Alphabitty Moments, letter P.
P is for PLAY BALL!
Take me out to the ball game
Take me out to the crowd (we got there a tad early)Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack (or a soft pretzel is fine)I don't care if I ever get back Let me root, root, root for the DRAGONS
If they don't win it's a shame (but not a surprise)

For it's one, two, three strikes you're out
At the old ball game.

We had a lot of fun last night at the Dayton Dragon's game. We had free tickets and each had a $5 food voucher (which doesn't go far, note to self) and went in honor of Father's Day this upcoming weekend. They lost, of course, but Snug had no idea, and we did see some unique things. 3 pitchers were thrown out of the game for hitting batters, the Dragons bunted three times in a row their first three at bats of the game, and we saw a grand slam (for the other team). Quite a lot of excitement!
Below are three more pictures I just had to post, but didn't really fit into the Alphabitty Moments post.

Alphabitty Moments

It's Thursday! Time to record those fun things you don't want to forget about your kids! Click right here to see what other people have done for the letter N this week at 4 The Love of Family! If you want to see what I did for letters A-M, click here.

Please remember that when I actually (and I am really leaning towards doing this) make my Alphabitty Moments book, all these pictures will be in a collage (if you clicked above you can see my earlier posts and what they used to look like). My program that does that is not loaded on my computer...still...cause I'm lazy. Also, almost 100% of these pictures were taken with my cell phone...just seeing what the result is. But. Enjoy anyway!

N is for...Nature!
Ever since he was a baby Snug has LOVED being outside. He was quite the crier when he was an infant, but if we stepped outside the door he'd quiet right down. This picture was taken at 14 months old.

We have a nice park nearby, and he loves to go watch the ducks.
He also loves our dogs...and our neighbors dog...and every dog he comes in contact with, except one we won't mention here. In this picture he is probably about 20 months old.
His new favorite nature creature is the toad. L O V E S them. They are not reciprocating his love...but he doesn't know that.

N is for...Naps!

Now, Baby J does not like to take naps...but we sure like it when he does :o)
I think seems how he slept between 20 and 22 hours a day the first 5 weeks of his life, he just took them all at once.
But everyday, like it or not, we get him to sleep.

And he is so cute when he naps. So for Baby J, N is for naps.

Alphabitty Moments

Once again Alphabitty moments is here...I didn't do it on Thursday as usual because I was really busy AND I couldn't get onto Mama Bear's Blog. Please go to her site (click the button for the exact link) and read everyone elses as they have really cute stuff going on!

M is for Miracles...

When Snug was born 6 weeks early, it was really hard to see him be sick and small. However, the nurses and staff were surprised at how quickly he bounced back and got to go home. It is very hard to leave the hospital without your baby.

Bringing him home was such a blessing...
And look at my preemie now!

When Baby J quit growing and was almost diagnosed with a lifetime disease, we were devastated. However, we believe his healing was also a miracle...
Within 24 hours of receiving the word that the doctors were 100% sure he had Celiac...this test (pictured above) showed another set of doctors that they were 99% sure he didn't.
And here is my chubby miracle this past weekend, he is now 18 lbs!
Every baby is a miracle from God. This week for us, M is for Miracles.

Alphabitty Moments

Yeah! It is Thursday! I know I am #13 (twelve people, thirteen actually including Carrie) posted Alphabittys before me, but we are going on vacation! To VA BEACH! TONIGHT! I had to do the normal preschool runs/library/lunch/naps today, then we (#1 on his lunch break) packed the van and believe it or not I have about 30 minutes to blog. I love Alphabitty Moments! (Still don't have Storybook installed...working on it...)

L is for Library

L is for Library, we like it a lot.
While Miss Elizabeth reads, we all sit in our spot.

There are stories and songs, fingerplays and rhymes,
And when she is done, then its playtime!

They have lots of great toys, balls, puzzles, and books,
Baby J hopes nobody notices the ball that he took*.
All the toys are top quality and at the end of the day,
The librarians was them and put them away.
(which is why it is ok for Baby J to mouth them)
Snug's favorite part is playtime its true,
but he's also made lots of new friends who are two.
If you'd ever like to join us for library time,
It's every Thursday at 10, step up! Get in line!

*Baby J didn't steal the ball from the library...just from my Draycare kids. Also, see his red shirt? Some people I used to babysit for when I was a teenager mailed it to me when I had Snug...I always think of them when Baby J wears it.

Alphabitty Moments

Yeah! It is Thursday! Mama Bear created Alphabitty Moments to help capture those little things in life that we might otherwise forget. You can click here to participate/see other people's/check out her letter Ks this week!

For those of you who know me, you know we had to get a new computer recently and I don't have my photo editing software accessible yet...these pictures will be layed out quite differently and cropped etc., but for now please enjoy K is for Kisses!
Auntie D. kissing Snug when he was about 7 months old...he had applesauce that contained sugar for the first time at this restaurant and the sugar high made him pass right out! Auntie D. is our kids' Godmother (legal guardian) should anything happen to #1 and myself.

Taken shortly after Baby J came home from the hospital.

My cousin Melissa's son giving Snug some lovin' back in October...
Puppy love kisses. The dogs are not supposed to be kissing on the kids. I DO think it is gross when they lick the kids faces, but this was a cute picture nonetheless.
Mommy smooches the kiddos like crazy...all too son they are not going to want me to do it...I need to get as many in as possible.
Snug kissing on Baby J back when he was in the hospital.
Thanks for coming over to see what K is for us...go check out everyone else's!
Baby J will be visiting the GI doctor today...I will tweet what he weighs and then put up a post about what she says later...he is seriously getting HUGE and although last time I was pretty surprised they didn't let him start solids (I did anyway though, that boy practices with Cheerios* every morning...don't tell) I will be shocked if they say no again this time. I really think he needs the go-ahead on fruits and veggies.
*He gets like 10...and maybe 2 make it to his mouth...not that big a deal I'm sure. Certainly not interferring with his calorie intake...he's up to 1,200 calories a day. C-R-A-Z-Y. If I were to diet...which I of course am not because that would be no fun, my recommended calorie intake is between 1,400-1,700 calories a day. Double C-R-A-Z-Y.

Alphabitty Moments

Alphabitty Moments is brought to you by Mama Bear and the point is to remember the little things in life that count. "Whatever coaxes us out of hiding, to write, record, and express, is a revolutionary act. It says that we believe our lives count: our lives do count." ~SARK

Baby J has never had ice cream, so I will have to pass on him this week. I know that other people do one per kid, but I actually can't even think of what else to do. I will have to check everyone elses' out. Our first church softball practice is tonight and I am really excited. Hopefully I am not as terrible as I remember being...having a softball super-star husband doesn't help my complex out any. Happy Thursday everyone!
