The Forgotten

I took these (REALLY FUZZY) photos back in February and then completely forgot all about them! We were in Michigan so I could do counselor training for the camp I work for, and also were able to see some family.  The cute kiddos are my cousin Melissa's.  I'm sad Jenilee isn't going to do Wednesday's Walk anymore, but maybe she'll bring it back when things aren't quite so busy.

Forgotten Photos

Jenilee's Wednesday's Walk was perfect today.  Because I found some pictures that never made it into the right file on my computer. They were just hanging out in my computer and I stumbled upon them.  I never did anything with them apparently!
Last August the town we used to live in had a train festival.  We went to it with some friends.  They have two girls almost the exact same ages as our boys.
There were different rides, and this one was a train that you had to pedal with your hands.  The kids loved it.
Snug was pretty good at it, although you wouldn't know it from this picture as he's holding up traffic!
There were also barrel rides.  If I remember right, all the rides were free but they accepted donations.
I can't believe how much LMM has grown up!
There was also a model train that the kids loved to watch.

As I look at these pictures and remember last summer, I wonder if Snug's bright orange crocs will still fit.  Or if he'll want a mohawk for the summer.  I wonder if LMM will ever have his beautiful long hair again.  Or if he'll still get super excited about trains.  I wonder if we'll go to this festival again, and if we do if Rosebud will be walking all over the place.  I am also wondering why my boys were wearing jeans, because if I remember right, it was SWELTERING that day!

Anyway, just a walk down memory lane.  Thanks to The Goodwin Family.

Look Alikes

This past weekend the kids and I headed north for another CILT weekend.  I had a day of lecturing on Saturday while they got to play at Grandmommy and Pop Pop's house.  I was SO THANKFUL they came and got us and then drove us back home as there was a huge accident that caused quite the backup on the way there and then very bad driving conditions on the way home due to snow and ice.

While at their house I went through some of my old pictures from when I was a year old.  Many people say that Rosebud looks very much like me, and once in awhile I catch a glimpse of her that reminds me of photos I've seen of myself as a baby.
It is weird to look at this picture and think "that's me!".  I think "look at her, her hair and Rosebud's grow the same way and have to be swept to the side".
This is my Grandma Gingell.  She is my dad's mom.  She passed away shortly after #1 and I started dating, I've always been so happy she got to meet him.  She loved my (9) cousins and I so much.  She would have loved to see her soon to be 17 great-grandchildren. (she did get to see several of them)
This is my mom and I.  She'll kill me for posting this picture, because she never likes pictures of herself.  But I love this picture of me with her.  You can tell I was a loved and well cared for baby.  And personally I think my mom looks great!
You can sorta see my dad in the background of this one.  This is (one of) my first birthday party.  I am enjoying cake  :o)  This picture looks JUST like Rosebud when she is eating.
Again, this one is so much like her.

I love this picture too.  My mom is holding me and my Grandma Powley (mom's mom) is behind me.  I was only 5 when my grandma died, and I don't remember very much about her.  My mom doesn't remember who made the yellow sweater for me, but I have it hanging in Rosebud's closet for this spring.  It is a little big on her right now.

Anyway, it was fun to look through pictures.  So...do you think there is a family resemblence?

Wednesday's Walk

My Wednesday Walk (Down Memory Lane) is about our trip to VA Beach last spring for #1's softball tournament.
This is my favorite tournament. The water is always way too cold to swim in, but the beach is perfect to play on.
Monkey Man got to enjoy his first taste of sand.

Snug loved to watch the waves and made sandcastles.

Daddy showed off his muscles.

And mommy was hoping that someday this picture would be put in a baby album. Guess what....it will be!
