Alphie is a "hot gift" this Christmas-according to his TV commercials. I had to laugh when I saw him. Really?

This particular
Alphie came to our house via
Grandmommy this week. She and Pop Pop were here helping us with our bathroom re-model. We are entering week 8 of the project, but the end is in sight. We should be done before Christmas...and we have the toilet installed! Hip Hip Hooray!!!!!
Back to
Alphie. The boys loved him. This exact
Alphie isn't the one my brother had, I think it must be one my mom had in her kindergarten classroom. No matter...apparently he is timeless.
So
Alphie is going to live with us for awhile.
What toys are back from when you were a kid?

Alphie was a fantastic toy! I saw Lincoln Logs back in the stores last week too. I'm sure they never left it was just I would left the toy aisle for a decade or so.
My other toy would be my Alf watch. It had a furry (think teddy bear feel) wrist band where his head would unvelcro and reveal the watch face. Loved Alf but rarely watched the show. Ironic.
I have been contemplating getting our kids an Alphie because I remember how much Kevin and I LOVED him growing up. I saw one of those old school record players in an add the other day too. Ahh, memories.
Aw, we're wanting to get Gabba an Alphie for Christmas!! :) And she wants a LalaLoopsy doll...of course the one that is super hard to find....ugh..lol....

Toys existed when I was a kid? I just got sticks in the back yard ;)
