Let the Holidays Begin OR The Big Game 2009

The holiday season officially starts at our house not with Thanksgiving, but with the Ohio State vs. Michigan game. It is always right before Thanksgiving and has as many traditions for us as Thanksgiving and Christmas do currently. When your playroom/rec room is painted like ours, you know you have a house divided.
We tried and tried to get a family picture this year, but my little Monkey Man was more interested in anything but getting his picture taken.

I had planned on changing the kids clothes halfway through the game and having Snug wear his Michigan shirt and Monkey Man his OSU sweatsuit, but instead we just each had a kid wearing our team colors. It was easier :o)

Here is a picture with them both looking. It took quite awhile to get :o) Meanwhile, OSU was beating up all over Michigan. I was ok to be outside and miss some of the slaughter.

This is Monkey Man's diaper this afternoon. The inside fleece is Michigan. Not nice.

As with all holidays, we have a menu for the Big Game. Ours always includes hot wings and homemade fries (not pictured...being made) veggies and dip, various snack foods, and Buckeye candies. This year Grandmommy found maize and blue M&Ms, which was a yummy addition!
Final score? OSU 21 MICHIGAN 10
This is the 6th year IN A ROW they have won. I'm not pouting, but MAN does that hurt.

I hear you. The Vikings beat the Packers both times they met this season. We're a house divided too, but NO.WAY. will my kids wear Viking clothes. Don't want them to get a rash... ;-)

I would let Emma wear a Viking diaper to pee on though, like that idea!

(I'm so naughty.)

I am sure you had a good time in spite of a loss.

Sorry Jenney, I just had to respond to that!
