Just Another Tuesday? Never.

What? It is Wednesday? Well that tells you about how my Tuesday was, now doesn't it!

Thank you for the prayers and e-mails and comments. It is so encouraging to know people are thinking of us and praying for us. I have been reading a Proverb a day and those have just been quieting my soul. So much wisdom.

Yesterday #1 and I went to his appointment (he has one each day this week). I went along to ensure I had all the facts on exactly what the radiation precautions would be. While there I was reading a delightful Family Circle magazine...that I accidentally stole. I had a notebook with me and tucked both under my arm and walked out of the hospital. Nice.
Due to the fact that he will be a walking x-ray for a few days #1 will be holed up in a hotel for 3 of them. Don't feel too bad for him...he will have cable and get to eat and sleep all he wants. When else does a guy get to do that this late in life? He also shouldn't have any side effects, so he won't feel sick. I will be delivering homemade goodies and perhaps a pizza at meal times. I can be around him, but not within 3 feet of him for up to 2 hours in a 24 hour period. He is so looking forward to feeling will take about a month.

Snug was still sick yesterday and promptly threw up his breakfast on the table after declaring that he "felt great". Well if that is great I want none of it! If my mom wasn't here I might lose my mind. He is back to being himself today, praise God.

We got a call from Children's hospital that they would be seeing Baby J on April 3. I told them that was absolutely not acceptable and she checked her calendar again. Still April 3, but if my doctor called and had a consult they would possibly move it up. Um, he called and we will be going on March 17. The lady at Children's said he has been labeled "failure to thrive". I was kinda suspecting that, but it is never easy to hear. Someone from 4 Oaks will be calling by Friday to set up an evaluation-which they do in the home! Yeah! So that is all good news. The soy formula is OUT seems how he was vomiting it and all his we are using Enfamil cooked into his far so good. That means he is no longer getting bottles, which makes me very happy because he will continue to nurse well.

We have water all over the basement floor for no apparent reason. I continue to do laundry though because with cloth diapers, vomit, and the usual laundry there is no rest for the weary. We turned on the dehumidifier and moved everything out of the 'path' of the water.

You know us, never a dull moment! I will try to post a Wordless Wednesday...later...maybe on Thursday ;o)

All Things Family said...'ve got a lot on your plate friend! Will be thinking about you/praying for you guys. When do you find out about the protein in the milk stuff? Scary about the failure to thrive...especially since with everything you're doing he should totally be thriving. Poor baby J.

Keep me posted....Linds

How will the radiation treatment help #1? I don't recall reading that in my short research. Hope he's well and gets well soon. Oh, what a blessing your mom is there. That is one fear i have... If something happens here with us, we have no family who would be able to take care of us, and whom I could lean on. What a blessing you have. Give her a big hug for us!

Thanks for the update - I've been praying for all of you. I too am so glad your mom is there with you. Sounds like your dad is coming on Friday - I'm sure he'll be able to help out with the water on the floor and all. March 17th still sounds too far away but is much better than April 3rd! Keep loving on those boys and try to stay away from your hubby this weekend. You can do all that hugging and stuff later! You know we are praying!
Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
Love to all of you,
Aunk Kim
